The Slime Dungeon: privacy and terms of use
The privacy policy covers what the app collects, who else receives it and how to delete it. The terms of use cover what is free, what is paid and what you may do with the app.
Privacy policy
Last updated
The Slime Dungeon is an action game for Android. It has no account and no server of its own. Your high score is kept on the phone, and what leaves it goes to Google: the leaderboard, if you sign in to Play Games, and the ads SDK built into the game.
I, Tiago Danin, am the developer and the controller of this data under the LGPD (Lei 13.709/2018). If you are in the EU, the GDPR gives you the same rights and I answer them the same way. Write to TiagoDanin@outlook.com about any of it.
What stays on your phone
Your best score, whether the tutorial was shown, whether Play Games is turned on, the sound setting and a count of how many times the menu has opened. Uninstalling the game or clearing its data erases them.
Google Play Games and the leaderboard
After the tutorial, the game offers to sign you in to Google Play Games so you can join the ranking. You can skip it, and you can switch it off later in Settings. While it is on, the game signs in by itself when it opens and sends your score to the leaderboard when your knight dies. Your Play Games name and avatar appear next to your score, and anyone who opens the leaderboard can see them. Google runs Play Games and handles that profile under its own terms; I only see what the leaderboard shows everyone.
The ads SDK
The game includes Google's Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob) and starts it when it opens. It shows no ads today. Even so, the SDK can send Google the device's advertising ID, the device model, the Android version and information about the app. You can reset or delete the advertising ID in Android's settings, under Privacy, Ads.
Reviews and links
After you open the menu a few times, the game asks once whether you want to rate it. The review window belongs to Google Play, and the game does not see what you write.
The About screen loads my avatar from GitHub and links to my site, my Twitter, the itch.io pages of the artists whose assets the game uses, and the Flame and Bonfire engines. Opening any of them takes you to a site with its own privacy policy.
Who else receives it
Only Google, through Play Games, Google Play and the Mobile Ads SDK, on servers that may be outside Brazil, including in the United States, and GitHub when the About screen loads the avatar. Their terms: Google Privacy Policy, how Google uses data from apps and GitHub privacy statement.
I do not sell data, share it with advertisers, or hand it to a data broker.
Your rights
The game keeps nothing about you on a server of mine, so there is nothing for me to hand over or delete beyond what is on your phone. To remove your score and profile from the leaderboard, use your Google account's Play Games settings. You can still ask me anything about this at TiagoDanin@outlook.com, and you may complain to the ANPD, Brazil's data protection authority.
Children
The game is rated for everyone but is not directed at children. I do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child's data reached me, write to me and I delete what I can find.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If the game starts showing ads or selling anything, this page is updated before that version is released.

Terms of use
Last updated
These terms apply to anyone who installs or plays The Slime Dungeon. By playing, you accept them. If you do not, uninstall the game; nothing else is needed.
Who provides the game
Tiago Danin, a private individual in Brazil, who develops and publishes The Slime Dungeon on Google Play. "I" and "me" below mean him. "You" means the person playing.
Price
The game is free to download and play. It has nothing to buy and shows no ads today. If that changes, these terms and the privacy policy will be updated before that version is released, and anything for sale will be sold through Google Play with its price shown before you pay.
The leaderboard
The ranking runs on Google Play Games and is optional. Play fair: do not modify the game, use tools that alter scores, or submit a score you did not earn. I may remove scores that look manipulated. Your name on the leaderboard is your Play Games name, and Google's terms apply to it.
The game and its art
The Slime Dungeon is fantasy: a knight, fireballs and slimes. The pixel art, sounds and music come from artists who published them on itch.io, and they are credited on the About screen. Their work stays theirs. The game is built on the open source Bonfire and Flame engines.
Your high score is saved on the phone only. Uninstalling the game or clearing its data erases it.
What you may do with it
I give you a personal, free, non-exclusive and revocable licence to play the game on your devices. You may not copy, resell or redistribute it, or extract its assets to use elsewhere. The name and the game itself remain mine.
Availability
I work on the game in my own time. It may change, lose features or be removed from Google Play.
Liability
The game is provided as it is. To the extent Brazilian law allows, I am not liable for lost scores or for problems caused by the phone, the network or Google's services. Nothing here removes a right that the law gives you and that a contract cannot take away, such as those in the Código de Defesa do Consumidor.
Privacy
What the game collects is described in the privacy policy on this same page.
Changes
I may update these terms. The date at the top changes when I do. Continuing to play after that means you accept the new version.
Law
Brazilian law governs these terms. Anything an email cannot settle goes to the courts of Belém, Pará, without prejudice to your right as a consumer to sue where you live.
