Scoreboard: privacy and terms of use

Scoreboard collects no personal data. It has no account, no server and no internet permission. The match you are scoring and your settings stay on your phone.

What stays on your phone

The app saves the current match (its rules, the list of points scored, when it started and which side each team is on), the rules of your last match, the winning streak and your preferences for voice, sound, vibration and the introduction screens. That is what lets it resume a match after you close it. Teams are always Blue and Red: the app asks for no names and no photos.

Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data in Android settings, erases all of it.

What the app uses on the device

• Spoken score, off by default. When you turn it on, the score text goes to the phone's own speech engine, the one set in your Android or iOS settings.
• Screen always on while the match screen is open, released when you leave it.
• Sharing, only when you tap it. The app hands the system share sheet a line of text such as "Blue 21 x 18 Red", and you choose where it goes.

There are no analytics, no crash reporting, no ads and no third-party SDK that collects data.

Your rights

Since I hold no data about you, there is nothing to access, correct or delete. The LGPD (Lei 13.709/2018) still gives you the right to ask, and I answer at the address above.

Children

The app is not directed at children, and it collects nothing from anyone, children included.

Changes

If a future version starts collecting anything, this page will say so before that version is published, and the date at the top will change.

These terms apply to anyone who installs or uses Scoreboard on Android or iOS. Using the app means you accept them. If you do not, uninstall it.

Who provides the app

Tiago Danin, a private individual in Brazil, who develops and publishes Scoreboard. "I" and "me" below mean him.

What it is

A scoreboard for two teams. You set how the match is played, tap or swipe to score, undo the last change and follow sets or a clock on the screen.

The app keeps the score you tap, nothing more. It is not an official record of a match and it does not replace a referee, a scorer or a competition's rules. Check the result before you rely on it in a tournament or a bet among friends.

Free, with no ads and no purchases.

What you may do with it

I give you a personal, free, non-exclusive and revocable licence to use Scoreboard on your devices. You may not resell or redistribute it. The name, the icon and the design are mine. Sport names are used only to describe how scoring works.

Liability

The app is provided as it is. A match lives only on your phone, so uninstalling the app, clearing its data or losing the phone loses the match too. To the extent Brazilian law allows, I am not liable for a lost or wrong score, or for damage caused by using the app. Nothing here removes a right that the law gives you and that a contract cannot take away, such as those in the Código de Defesa do Consumidor.

Changes

I may update these terms. The date at the top changes when I do.

Law

Brazilian law governs these terms. Anything an email cannot settle goes to the courts of Belém, Pará, without prejudice to your right as a consumer to sue where you live.
